I am a PhD student at Virginia Tech working in bioinformatics and computational biology area. I am interested in solving complex problems using machine learning and data mining techniques. My focus is on problems with heterogeneous data and complex structure. Biological data provide great challenges due to the huge amount of available data, and the complex structure. Currently I am working on predicating composite biomarkers that can explain the change of observed phenotype using feature selection techniques.
