Aim: building healthcare data science infrastructure and culture for supporting the future of medicine: Population & Precision Health, and Learning Health Systems. Funding as Principal Investigator in the NIH Big Data to Knowledge (BD2K) program. Awardee in the Burroughs Wellcome Fund Innovations in Regulatory Science program. Funded as PI or co-PI on Duke Institute for Health Innovations and Duke Translational Research Institute applied machine learning projects. Faculty lead for Informatics in the Google-Duke-Stanford Baseline Study. Currently mentoring students in the Accenture Fellows doctoral program; and for the School of Engineering honors undergraduate Pratt Fellowship and Grand Challenge programs.
