I am a highly trained statistician, with a PhD in Mathematics, specialty of Statistics, a lot of experience in the academia, and also with much experience in data analysis and software programming, both for public and private sector.
I have served 5 years as a full time researcher in the Center of Mathematics and Applications of the NOVA University of Lisbon, of which I am a full member, doing research in cutting edge statistical methodologies and applying them on data analysis problems. During this period I also taught undergraduate and graduate courses, in classic and e-learning regime.
In the public sector, I authored a software package to analyse data from national surveys to Statistics Portugal, as well as technical consulting to this agency. In the private sector, I was the head researcher in a consulting company, being responsible for sustainability, market analysis and ICT in health.
