The researcher has a solid research line focused on the application of several intelligent techniques in the field of mobility and contextual systems. This can be corroborated with 6 publications in journals indexed in JCR (three in the quartile Q1), being first author in three of them and second author on the others. All thread has been directed to the industrial application. This is evident in the 2 software patents and registration generated from these jobs.
The researcher also has 7 publications listed as book chapters with various quality indicators, editing records and more than 20 contributions on national and international conferences. Also noteworthy is its participation in more than 20 program committees of Congress, publisher of scientific journals and reviewer in 4 journals of high impact factor. In addition, he is an honorary member of the recognized and prestigious institution IEEE, which demonstrates its commitment to research and knowledge transfer.
Regarding internationalization, noting that the researcher has established relationships with other research groups from Germany, Holland and France, which have resulted in some of these publications, highlighting the cooperation with DFKI (German Research Centre for Artificial Intelligence), considered one of the most prestigious research centers in Germany and Europe as well as with universities of Reutlingen and Konstanz. No less important is its collaboration with research groups at the Carlos III University and Polytechnic University of Catalonia. As a result of these collaborations and stays, the applicant maintains a close relationship with these research groups as demonstrated by publications in collaboration with Natividad Martinez (Hochschule Reutlingen), Ralf Seepold (Hochschule Konstanz. HTWG) or Alexander Kröner (DFKI), with who has also collaborated on a coordinated project (INCARE) of the National Plan.
He has actively participated in a total of 13 projects of European, national and regional research, most of them related to ubiquitous computing and devices phones as well as aid to the consolidation of research groups.
The researcher gave a total of 132 teaching credits at the rate of 1400 contact hours in a total of 8 subjects in 7 Degrees of Engineering and Technical Engineering. In addition, he has taught in courses in Degree in Health Engineering, included in the Andalusia Tech Campus of Excellence.
He has been tutor of more than 30 final projects, final master degree work and to work. He is currently directing two doctoral theses in the line of mobility and ubiquitous systems. It also collaborates with three PhD students from two German universities preparing their theses.
