Daniel Roche joined the IBC as "Young investigator" for Structural and Functional Annotation of Proteomes (WP3). Daniel has a background in structural and functional bioinformatics. His work at IBC involves the development and implementation of new methods for structurally informed functional prediction. In addition to the study of repeat proteins from a structural and functional preservative. Daniel has been involved in the development of a number of algorithms for the prediction of structure (IntFOLD), function (FunFOLD) and model quality assessment (ModFOLD). His most recent work focused on large scale analysis of the relationship between protein structure and function, along with analyzing the protein structural diversity and new fold potential in metagenomes.
Daniel has recently delved into the field of repeat protein structure and function.
