I am a research scientist at the Department of Genetics University of Cambridge and a lecturer in Medical Image at the department of Computer Science University of Lincoln.
I have a DPhil (PhD) from the University of Oxford in medical imaging and have previously worked as the Medical Imaging Scientist at Volpara Solutions Ltd.
I was part of the consortium called Adopting Breast Screening Strategy Using Personalized Risk Estimation (ASSURE), which was the largest project (funded by EC FP7) on breast cancer screening in Europe composed of 10 project partners from 7 countries with leading expertise in the field of breast imaging.
I mainly work on segmentation, image, shape & texture analysis, and feature tracking in human stem cells and medical imaging modalities such as x-ray mammograms and digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT).
Previously, I have taught as a Lecturer and Assistant Professor at COMSATS Institute of IT, a well ranked University in Pakistan. There, I was in charge of the Graduate Program at its Electrical Engineering Department.
