Tenured full Professor and Bioinformatics leader with 20+ years of experience in research and development of large-scale open-source data-science and informatics platforms by applying state-of-the art machine-learning and multivariate statistical methods. Continuously funded by NIH, Davuluri leads a group of PhD-level Applied Statisticians and Computer Scientists, with primary focus on developing innovative data-science solutions for identification of gene isoforms/splice-variants as disease biomarkers and therapeutic targets. The overarching goal of the group is to translate the Big Data from high dimensional (-omic) platforms (e.g., NextGen sequencing) to derive experimentally interpretable and testable discovery models towards genomics-based informatics platforms for precision medicine.
