Dr. Eduard Serra is a researcher at The Institute for Health Science Research Germans Trias i Pujol (IGTP) - at the Can Ruti Biomedical Campus, Badalona (Barcelona). He leads the Hereditary Cancer Group and is the scientific coordinator of the Genetic Diagnostics of Neurofibromatoses and RASopathies at IGTP. His research focuses on the genomics and integrative biology analysis of NF-associated tumors; on the generation and use of patient-derived induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC) to model Neurofibromatoses; on the development and implementation of genomic techniques for the genetic diagnostics of NFs and related syndromes; and on the study of the molecular bases of NF pathogenesis. He participates of the Neurofibromatosis Reference Center in Spain and is a close collaborator of the different local and international NF Patient Associations.
