Busy and focused have defined my life for the past few years. After finishing my first bachelor?s degree, I returned to school for a second bachelor?s degree in statistics to achieve my career goals. During this time, I have worked full-time as a supervisor in a multi-million-dollar department, worked an additional part-time position in a data science research lab, and maintained a 3.9 in all my studies. Working on the Data Mining of Reliability and Validity project has been something I?m very proud of. The project was a continuation of graduate research to assess brain trauma in veterans who had been subjected to blasts. We used R exclusively to both clean a large data set and try to predict whether certain psychometric tests would be good indicators of a psychologist?s evaluation of PTSD. Using R allowed us to use Linear Regression, Logistic Regression, LDA, QDA, Decision Trees w/ Bagging and Boosting, as well as Support Vectors.
