I am a problem solver and a lover of learning. As a student at BYU, I chose to study Bioinformatics because of my passion for computer and life sciences. I am currently doing research in a computational biology lab under Dr. Stephen Piccolo at BYU; research there has allowed me to fulfill my dream of writing code that makes a difference that truly matters. Last year, I returned from a 2 year mission/service trip for my church where I spoke Spanish and interacted with people from all over the world. Aside from my technical and professional interests, I love mountain biking, skiing, rock climbing, and anything else that gets me outdoors and into the mountains.
