We saw Ki is used as Kd. Are they used exchangeably?
Created by Xiaokang Wang XiaokangWang That's correct.
For instance, a Kd (KD) value of 100 nM is equal to a pKd of 7 M.
Just figured it out, -log10 Kd Molar is pKd,
Thanks,
And is pKd equivalent to KD (or Kd) in the training data?
Thanks, I see. Thanks for your reply Robert.
Cheers,
Xiaokang Ki and Kd are different measures of affinity - Ki is determined by measuring inhibition, while Kd is measuring binding (binding of a ligand to a target may not necessarily cause inhibition of the target).
You can, of course, use Ki as a surrogate measurement for Kd at your discretion - this may be beneficial or detrimental - you'll have to experiment for yourself!
Cheers,
Robert
