We thoroughly try to differentiate the best performing submissions. Sometimes there are ties, and we will try to statistically determine the best model. Best performers are considered to be the main authors of the paper. But after a challenge closes, we try to understand why some models are better than others. During this post-challenge collaborative phase, we try to extract knowledge from the top models and understand the features used in the predictions. If you are enthusiastically involved in the post-challenge phase, you will also be included as a main author. All participants are part of the DREAM consortium on the paper.
