Have the patient samples that have had RNA expression analyses done on them had their TCGA subtype (Verhaak, Cancer Cell, 2010) calculated? If so, can someone point me in the direction of this data? If not, are their plans to do so? Any reason (that obviously aren't apparent to me) why this can't or shouldn't be done? Thanks, Christopher Morrison, MD, PhD University of Arizona Cancer Center Banner University Medical Center ? Tucson

Wow. Thanks. That was fast.
Hi Christopher, Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We have now provided transcriptional subtype information for each sample with expression data in the table `analysis_transcriptional_subtype`. Like the processed expression data, subtype classifications were made as part of the study outlined in the 2017 Cancer Cell paper, "Tumor Evolution of Glioma-Intrinsic Gene Expression Subtypes Associates with Immunological Changes in the Microenvironment" (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/28697342). Details on how these classifications were made can be found in the original paper. Thanks, Fred
