Hi,
Thanks for the excellent resource. I may have missed it, but is there information anywhere on how the "treatment with radiation" score is assigned? A single patient has a score for each sample. Does this mean that if the score is 1 a round of radiation was given before the sample was taken, and not after?
Many thanks,
Lucy
Created by Lucy Martin lmartin7 Hi Lucy,
Thank you for your interest. In the clinical.surgeries table, there are a few radiation variables. One is "treatment_radiation", where 1 = radiation was given and 0 = it was not given. There is also "treatment_radiation_dose_gy" which indicates the dosage of radiation, and "treatment_radiation_fractions" which indicates the number of fractions given.
Regarding the timing, treatment in the surgeries table is forward looking, which means that if a primary sample is has a value of 1 for "treatment_radiation," the patient received radiation after the surgery was done.
I hope this helps.
Fred
