Hello Challengers - We've received questions about whether or not a Round One submission is required to proceed to Round Two.
Round One submissions (due by 1159 PDT tonight) are _not_ required to continue to participate in the challenge. By participating in Round One you will have an advantage for having worked with the data and seen your method compared with others, but **no one is excluded from continued participation**.
Round Two is a fresh start. We encourage teams to share experiences, and even reorganize to combine complementary skills and interests. After Round 1, teams can merge or split in any way you want. One motivation for the challenge-wide teleconference on 5/29 is to encourage participants to share and go on to develop new collaborations in Round 2 based on experiences during Round 1. This is what we refer to as the "Collaborative Round" [here](https://www.synapse.org/#!Synapse:syn17083203/wiki/588654).
Thank you all for your participation.
