In my Synapse profile I see a lars.ericson@synapse.org email address. I can email to this from my registered email account, and it will echo back to me. However if I email to it from another outside email account, the email gets rejected. What is the purpose of this email address? It seems like it would reject emails from anybody except myself or possibly another Synapse user.

@lars.ericson - you are also correct that only synapse users can email these email addresses. These are generally used in challenges and other situations where in-person interaction doesn't happen. I wouldn't expect to use these much during this event.
HI Lars, Synapse automatically blinds your email address for those that wish to remain anonymous. If you email a synapse.org account it will default to your synapse.org account. It's also used by default for any synapse teams and such. best, sara
