Hello, based on De Jager et al., 2012 (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3307898/), the source of tissue (blood, lymphocytes, or brain tissue) and time of extraction (baseline vs. death) for the GWAS data is unclear. Can you please tell me what proportion of the total 1709 were obtained with each method / time point? Is there a way to obtain data on which tissue / time point of extraction was used for each individual in the GWAS data?

@Mette @kholohan Re timing of the blood, the genotyping project predates our use of Freezerwork to track exact aliquots shipped, so I am not sure we have information about the blood date.
@Mette @kholohan Not all ROSMAP genotype data deposited in Synapse were from brain DNA. Of the 1709 samples, a majority (78%) were from blood, about 18% were brain and 4% were transformed lymphocytes.
Hi Kelly, thanks for your interest in the data. Lei Yu at Rush may be able to help you with that answer. @leiyu - Were all the genotypes that have been deposited in Synapse generated from postmortem brain tissue?
