Hi, On the main page for the HBTRC data, there is a link to more data on the GEO database. According to the authors of the referenced paper, there are 549 samples collected from the prefrontal cortex. Of these, 463 available through synapse and 230 available through GEO (GSE44770) implying that there must be several overlapping samples between the platforms. Unfortunately, the sample IDs are different between the platforms (synapse has 5 digit "TID" numbers, whereas GEO's samples are "PFC_#" with numbers from 1 to 230). Is there a document or information available that provides a mapping between these sample naming systems?

Hi Nicasia, The PFC is the only expression data made available through Synapse. We will do our best to map the data in Synapse to the GEO identifiers so that you can map the genotypes released to Synapse to the full set of expression data in GEO. We will alert you Best, Mette
Thank you for your reply. Then, do you know why the synapse release only includes data from the prefrontal cortex, but doesn't include the GEO data from the two other regions (cerebellum and visual cortex)?
Nicasia- This release should have all the samples released on GEO so there shouldn't be a need to map the GEO samples to those in the AMP-AD release. Solly
