Dear AMP-AD portal team, We are approved users of the AMP-AD data sets (Mayo, MSBB, and ROSMAP). Our existing Research use statement describes our first internal project using this data set. We now would like to extend the research use to a new application and apply for permission to integrate the curated data set into our public discovery platform, which combines many data sets from various public repositories. The integration includes clinical metadata and the corresponding RNAseq data downloaded from the following Synapse IDs: _syn8612213, syn8612203, syn8612191, syn8612097 and syn21589959_ Our platform allows scientists to perform meta-analyses across a unique globally harmonized compendium of transcriptomics data and identification of new disease and treatment signatures. The data that we make available in our discovery platform are processed counts (summed-up to a gene level) and fully anonymized biosample descriptions. Thus, the proposed project maintains the anonymity of the data, and it does not pose any additional risk to patient privacy. The data sets, as well as the authors of the studies, are appropriately referenced. Could you please let us know if such research use is in principle possible, and advise us about the next steps? Thank you!
