Although the competition is still going on, I'm already thinking about the future. Can we use a trained model from this competition on other public datasets and publish our results? I'm talking about the weight parameters only, nothing from the dataset. It would be pretty awesome to use a trained models on other datasets because it is from a huge dataset that has never been available to the public before. I have to admit this will (to certain degree) affect my incentive to participate in the competition. Thx!

Hi Li, Thanks for participating! All models that are trained using the Challenge data can be used for academic purposes. The primary restriction is that you cannot publish separately until AFTER the Challenge landmark paper is published. Given that we are still in the midst of the Challenge, this is still likely over 1 year away. Thanks,
