Could you provide some help on specific tools for using synapseclient to send a full path to the 'src' directory?
Otherwise the source code could be provided as a tar or zip file?

Apologies for the delay in response. You can certainly provide your source code as a tar or zip file. Github link possibly works as well, as long as you don't delete the repository.

My solution was to use the URL option - you can point it at your github repository. Nice and quick.
