what are the white circled things in some of the dicom images? These circled things are there in both cancerous and non cancerous breasts . For example patient No: 53559 Exam Index : 1 .Image Name : 502896.dcm There is no cancer in the left and right breasts. But some thing is circled some thing in the white. For the same patient No:53559 Exam Index: 2 . Image Name: 502858.dcm There is cancer in the left breast and not there in the right breast. In the left breast there is no circled part and in the right breast there is a circled part? Please clarify about that.

These circles are mole markers placed on the patient by the technologist before images are obtained. These mole markers help the radiologist differentiate benign skin masses from masses in the breast on 2D images.
