Submission during open phase

Is it mandatory to have a submission during the open phase to go into the competitive phase. Can I have my first submission after 4th October? Thanks.

Welcome to the DM Challenge Mohammad! Yes, you are not required to make a submission during the Open Phase to participate to the Challenge. The advantage of the Open Phase is that you have unlimited time quota to build a Docker container and ensure that it runs successfully on the Challenge Cloud.
