Dear @PEGSDREAMChallengeParticipants ,
The Leaderboard Round for [Task 1](https://www.synapse.org/Synapse:syn52817032/wiki/627645) has been extended to next Tuesday, August 6th - you are welcome to continue making up to 5 scored submissions a day to the **PEGS DREAM Challenge: Task 1 (Leaderboard Round)** queue until August 6th, 23:59 UTC.
The Final Round for Task 1 will thus begin on August 7th, 00:00 UTC, where you are allowed 1 total submission to the **PEGS DREAM Challenge: Task 1 (Final Round)** queue. Please note that results will not be shared for this round until after the challenge concludes.
Final submissions to Task 1 (Final Round) and [Task 2](https://www.synapse.org/Synapse:syn52817032/wiki/627646) has also been extended and will be due August 19th, 23:59 UTC.
If you have any questions, please reply to this thread.
Happy challenging!

Created by Verena Chung vchung Hi @silphator ,
In the spirit of keeping things fair to the other teams, we unfortunately cannot re-open the Leaderboard Round submission queue. However, the organizers are very much interested in what you have designed and encourage you to still submit your ideation writeup to Task 2! After the challenge has concluded, you can then request access to the challenge data in order to validate your experiment.
Details on how to request access to the real data is shared in [this thread](https://www.synapse.org/Synapse:syn52817032/discussion/threadId=11437&replyId=33105). Hi Verena,
I have a specific model that I just completed and that I didn't manage to submit before the end of the Leaderboard Round for Task 1.
However, this model is meant to be an experiment that would inform us on the validity of our hypothesis for Task 2.
Is there any way Docker containers can still be ran and evaluated on the real data before the end of this Challenge, without this having to affect the final Task 1 results?
If not, and if the real data won't later be accessible in any way, we will have no way to know whether a potentially promising approach to understand the driving factors of the disease could work or not - instead of this being just one click away!
Best wishes,
Alessandro Good to know. Thanks for clarifying
Best, @richard.schaefer ,
Great question. The Final Round will also follow the same structure as the Leaderboard round, that is, it will be split between training and final test data. Hello Verena,
thank you for the update. I have a quick question about the final submission. Will this be of the same structure as in the Leaderboard round? Meaning training and validation data? When looking at the workflow figure, does it seem to include only the final validation data? In other words, the data will not be divided into training/validation data? Thanks
