Thank you everyone for participating in this challenge! It's exciting to see the leaderboard with many strong submissions! To help the community, we are going to post some relevant articles with helpful information for building epigenetic biomarkers (e.g. public dataset for training, innovative methods, etc.) here for everyone. 1. A comprehensive map of the ageing blood methylome: https://www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/2023.12.20.572666v1.full 2. Accurate age prediction from blood using a small set of DNA methylation sites and a cohort-based machine learning algorithm: https://www.cell.com/cell-reports-methods/pdfExtended/S2667-2375(23)00211-4 3. An epigenome-wide association study of sex-specific chronological ageing: https://genomemedicine.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s13073-019-0693-z Please feel free suggest your favorite or let us know if these are helpful so that we can share more. Thanks for sharing! I noticed the public dataset that Biolearn linked to, are from different platform than the challenge data. We are not from bio background, I heard the methylation data may be different from different platforms, which platforms are usable as training dataset for this challenge?
Also thanks for the papers from my side. Very helpful, esp the GP-age paper. Regarding data, the 2) age prediction paper has some. Also, the Biolearn library lists some datasets, partially overlapping with the former. https://bio-learn.github.io/data.html Of couse, always interested to hear about other datasets. Best, J
Good afternoon @moqri! Thanks for sharing these. I was looking at the links but I didn't see an area for the public data set. Was it on there somewhere? Regards, Jason C. Mercurio, MFE
