Dear all,
is there a database of the clinical data of related to the images of the BRATS GLI set? we are interested in glioblastoma only (not lower grades), therefore I am looking for a way to make sure of this but I cannot find any clinical data. is there anything on this?
kind regards
Created by Meedie Ali Meedie Unfortunately, the information you are looking for?whether a patient underwent exclusively surgery without subsequent chemoradiotherapy?is not verifiable from the available clinical data. Some of the data used in BraTS 2024 are also available separately with additional clinical information, where this detail might be found. The UCSF dataset is currently available, and the UCSD dataset will hopefully be available soon. Let me know if there's anything else I can help with. dear dr Correia de Verdier
thank you very much for your quick reply.
In that case we will indeed only select Glioblastoma patients. (we are interested in GBM patients that had a resection close to the skull for a new sonocloud like setup we are testing).
However, we are only interested in Glioblastoma patient that had EXCLUSIVELY surgery and did not (yet) undergo chemoradiotherapy.
Is this verifiable from the clinical data that has been posted or from the clinical data that you posses?
Indeed we have selected MRI scans that say there is a resection cavity (and we look explicitly for evidence that surgery took place but still we/I am not sure whether the patients did not undergo any other treatment apart from surgery.
thanks again for your help. Thank you for your question @Meedie. Each case should be labeled with one of the following categories: astrocytoma, oligodendroglioma, glioblastoma, glioma NOS, or other. Please let me know if you find any discrepancies, and I will correct them.
If you are specifically looking for glioblastoma patients, you should include only those with a diagnosis of glioblastoma and exclude glioma NOS, as this category may include other tumor types.
Regarding treatment, not all patients have undergone surgery?some have received only radiation or systemic therapy. If you want to use only post-surgical cases, you can select those with a resection cavity label.
Let me know if you have any additional questions. I will tag @maria.correiadeverdier, she is a neuro-radiologist who can answer these questions. dear @rs2492 thank you for your reply. I found it indeed. I see that for some patients the info on diagnosis is glioma and for others there is glioma NOS.
what is the difference between these two exactly?
also, is there any information on prior treatment that patients had? or did all patients only have surgery prior to imaging? (I take it that some patients also had chemo or radiotherapy before the scans were made or is this not the case)?
thanks again and kind regards @Meedie You can find the clinical data here - https://www.synapse.org/Synapse:syn59059776
Let me know if you have any questions. it has been a few weeks but I have not been able to find the data of these patients yet. has it been made available elsewhere?
thanks. dear all,
Sorry for my spamming but I was wondering: has the clinical data from the 2024 BraTS Post-Treatment Glioma Challenge already been made available somewhere (I had another look but cannot find it yet). thanks! ok, thanks for your update! will this be on synapse? we will keep checking here then. @chiaracaraccio and @Meedie; We are working on finalizing the final Arxiv manuscript and submission. I estimate a week from now the clinical data should be released. yes, I/ we would indeed be very interested still. I am eagerly awaiting release of the clinical data (especially the prior treatment the patients received; (multiple) surgery with or without radiotherapy) etc. and what stage of treatment the image was made at exactly. Hello,
We are a team at Harvard Medical School & MIT hoping to create a classification model for these tumors based on clinical data. When will the clinical data be released?
thank you very much for your quick reply. that would be very much appreciated by all of us I am sure! Thank you for your question. We will be releasing all the clinical data at the start of next year. I will send you message here when it is up online.
