Yes! We provide an `R` package for this called `knit2synapse`. It uses the `knitr` package to convert an RMarkdown file to Synapse-formatted Markdown, including embedding of images. It is freely available from Github at [Sage-Bionetworks/knit2synapse](https://github.com/Sage-Bionetworks/knit2synapse). See the Github page for installation information.
