When I looked at the data, I couldn't find a single gene whose expression would correlate with any of the outcomes in a statistically significant way.
So now that this challenge is in the community phase, could someone please point me to at least one such biomarker?
Created by Colin Barranco colinb I guess you are talking about sub challenge 1, right? In the other 2 sub challenges, there are some statistically significant genes in Phase 1.
You can still use some machine learning tools to predict the outcome, although none of the genes is significant in each test. Some combinations (e.g., principal components) of these genes may have association with and contribute to the outcome.
