The 1-page letters of intent are protected. They will only be accessible to the Challenge Organizer, who will keep them private and will not re-use them for their own research purposes. The Challenge Organizers will communicate with potential funders and journal editors about the general topics addressed by the LOIs, but will not give specific details about the models. The 5-page abstracts will be public ? this is how we intend to get feedback not only from selected, anonymous reviewers from the program committee, but also from the community, and to build a Wall of Models. As they consist in a full description of a models, together with results on synthetic data, you can view them as short papers. You can also simultaneously post them to e.g. arxiv or bioarxiv to timestamp your work and establish priority.
