Hello, I am a PhD candidate at Emory University doing computational genomics research. I participated in the MM dream challenge and still have access to the datasets. Can I use this data in my future publication? Regards, -Safoora

Hi Safoora, All the *training data* from the challenge is publicly available so you are free to utilize it. We ask that you cite not only the challenge but the original publications too. You can publish findings from the challenge specifically in F1000Research. Once the Challenge paper is accepted you can publish Challenge related findings in any journal you like. I do not know how this works for a PhD thesis and will check on it. It would likely only be an issue if you plan on submitting your dissertation soon. Regards, Mike
