I noticed that the copy number table of recent releases has exactly 1000 rows, while for older releases (e.g., 13.4), the number was different (smaller). I find it hard to believe that there are exactly 1000 genes that have been found as having a copy number alteration. Is this a bug, or is there any other reason why this table has exactly 1000 rows for 1000 genes?

Dear @henrik.seidel, After reviewing the data, we found that the number of genes with copy number alteration information submitted by sites happens to be 1,000 in the most recent public release. We anticipate an increase in the number of genes in the next release which should be available next month. Please let us know if there is anything else you need. Best, Chelsea
Thanks for reaching out @henrik.seidel. We will look into it and get back to you.
